Big Gulp

Big Gulp is a quest for level 10-90. It rewards 1 reward item, 1 reputation reward, 9,500 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

Arnold and I used to relax down at the moat in the Valley of Heroes. One day, I lost my locket in the lake and I have never been able to find it. Rumor has it that huge royal monkfish live in that moat and that they eat anything! I know it's a long shot, but do you think you could catch a few monkfish and look for my locket?

Please let me know right away if you find it, it's very precious to me.

Head to the front gates of Stormwind, then go fish down in the moat.
Some casts will net the usual catfish and minnows from Stormwind waters, but on others you will receive a Royal Monkfish.
Every time you catch one, open your bags and right-click the fish to "filet" it. Sometimes you'll get gray items like Rusty Keys or Slimy Rings. Eventually, you'll get the needed Precious Locket.

FYI: You MUST have 2 BAG SPACES when opening the Monkfish. If not you can fish for hours and not get the locket.

This one took a bit longer than I expected.
Out of 63 fish caught, 18 were Monkfish. 18/63 = 28.5% chance of Monkfish
18 Monkfish = 9 Rusty Keys, 8 Slimy Ring (gray items) and finally 1 locket. 1/18 = 5.5 %
It's possible I just had very bad luck. Anyone else getting far better or worse results?
