for those skinners out there, skin before carving the meat, but dont loot the hides until after you carve the meat. that way you can get the meat and the skin!

For the skinners, I don't know if it's a bug or something but after you've mutilated the basilisks, you can still skin them, you won't get leather from it, but still get the skill-ups.
BUT: If you skin them, the corpse doesn't disappear and if you wait some time (like 1 minute or something like that), you can skin them again, you can easily level your skinning this way, but you won't get any leather from it :(
I guess this will be fixed soon.

What to do
Description
We're only going to get one shot at capturing Abyssion, {name}. Let's make it count. We'll test out the trap on the biggest of the stone dragons in the Alabaster Shelf. To lure the stone matriarch, we're going to need to gather sufficient bait. Take this knife and carve 5 sides of basilisk meat. That ought to be enough even for her appetite.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- To Catch a Dragon
Having a dragon guard the fragment was a smart move on the enemy's part. They can keep moving its location any time we get close to it. Catching Abyssion will be extremely difficult, but I have a plan that might help.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Testing the Trap
You must set the trap for the matriarch now. Go to the western end of the Alabaster Shelf and place the trapped basilisk meat in the center of the feeding grounds.
