Buoy Fishing

Location: North of Glooming Reef, the nearest flight path, in Val'sharah.

Speak to [npc=109760] located on a boat (balloons attached to it) close to the world quest marker (28.7, 49.4) who will provide the [item=139044] required to undertake the quest. Also a buff, [spell=218379] which aids the player during this underwater quest.

Objective: Attach the provided buoys to 15 x [npc=109752] while avoiding or killing the patrolling hostile [npc=109797].

Reward: 20 x Black Barracuda.

Notes:

• 
  
• The crabs are located on the sea bed under the boat. Attaching the buoys produces a balloon and bubble attachment to the crabs which floats them to the surface.
• 
  
• The buff, [spell=218379] has a duration of 10 minutes. If it runs out or the item is used up before completion, return to [npc=109760] and speak to her again. If the quest text option (white speech bubble) is not available try using the [item=141605] to take you to the the nearest flight path at Gloom Reef; return and try the dialogue again.
• 
  
• As indicated by the buff, [spell=218379], the 100% speed boost only works when you are travelling on the sea bed.
• 
  
• Due to the relatively low number of crabs available which don't respawn quickly with a lot of players trying to complete the quest, it can take multiple buffs and a long time to complete it at busy times.
• 
  
• Using a stealth ability while moving around on the sea bed will help avoid aggro from the hostile fish while searching for the crabs.
• 
  
• Any movement boost will help move even faster and help get to the crabs quickly.
• 
  
• To help target and use the item try using a macro such as:
• 
  

/tar Enormous Sea Crab
/use Satchel of Buoys

• This is not an elegant macro but does work to target the crab. You still need to be close up to them for the item to work.
• 
  
• Try to position yourself to the front of the crab as they walk around and can move out of the short range before the Use cast is completed.
• 
  
• This is one of the fishing world quests that count towards the Fishing 'Round the Isles achievement.

EDIT: As of 25 September 2016, when completing the quest, they appear to have increased the numbers of crabs in the location and extending them out in a wider area. Also faster respawn rates making it easier to complete.

Protip: If you find [npc=109760] somehow underwater and you are unable to interact with her, zone out of the world quest then back in and that should put her back on the boat where you can talk to her

If you're like me, the first thing I did was go to the bottom, complain about the depth, try to kill the crabs, then float up and look to Wowhead for the answer. BEFORE you go to the crabs, you'll want to go up to 28.7, 49.4 and talk to the lovely lady in a boat for a buff and the means to give these guys some buoyancy :) Happy questing!
