For some reason I kept getting directed to the X shaped logs by the river but no artifact would appear.
If you have this same thing happen, try going to the west side of the large tree on the north side of the area.
That is where I found my last artifact to pickup. As long as the quest item travels over the artifact, you can still grab it.
Okay, so I figured out why this quest seems to be bugged.
The artifacts are in a designated spot. If you get any artifact without using the scanner, the scanner will still tell you to go there if you are up to that particular one.
However, when you are up to the one that the scanner is telling you to go to, but you already looted it, it will just keep telling you it is there when it is not. This is why some players are stuck going to a spot that is not the designated area for the one they have left. I was stuck at 4 of 5 but that was because I looted it as soon as I arrived at the WQ without the scanner.
Just go through each spot below, and you will finish the WQ.
