Buuut it sure feels better to just keep them as is and not convert into lower tier crests until you find them useless.
We gotta stop sharing GM replies. The people that answer tickets are the equivalent of Level 1 Support, trained just enough to help with basic/common problems, often just reading from a checklist. Unless they already got info from higher up about new issues, they won't be able to give you a satisfying answer or even help you.

Description
Did you know that crests can be transmuted into different tiers? If you find yourself with crests that are too powerful for the gear you've acquired, I can help you transmute those crests into lower tiers that you can use. And once all of your gear is sufficiently powerful, I'll be able to transmute your spare lower crests into higher ones! Let's practice the transmutation process. Here's a few Veteran Dawncrests. Speak to me and I can transform them into Adventurer Dawncrests for you.
