Veteran Equipment

Veteran Equipment is a quest for level 90, added in Midnight. It is step 4 of 4 in the Item Upgrade Tutorial storyline, the final step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Silvermoon City at 48.6, 62.1. It rewards 13,700 experience and money.

Description

We have only just begun to scratch the surface of how powerful your gear can become!

However, every piece of equipment has a limit to how much it can be upgraded. The more powerful an item is at its baseline, the more powerful it will become as we upgrade it. An item's upgrade track determines which crests we must use to upgrade it.

Bring me a piece of Veteran equipment this time along with some Veteran Dawncrests. Just like before, Cuzolth will help you upgrade the item using those crests.

FIXED!

I abandoned the quest.

Then I retook the quest.

Then I immediately upgraded a piece of Veteran gear I already had on me. (cost 20 now, but already had that from 2 other Prey Hard quests)

Then it immediately completed and moved onto the transmutation trade-in quest.

All better now.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Adventuring GearLevel 90

<name>, you're just in time! I was exchanging research notes with the artisans here in Silvermoon all day. Did you know they can infuse weapons and armor with the power of the dawn itself? Fascinating! I've been itching to put some of these new techniques to the test.

After this quest

Taken from a quest that requires this one.

  • Crest TransmutationLevel 90

Did you know that crests can be transmuted into different tiers? If you find yourself with crests that are too powerful for the gear you've acquired, I can help you transmute those crests into lower tiers that you can use.

The storyline at a glance

Item Upgrade Tutorial has 4 steps, from Crests of the Dawn to Veteran Equipment.

Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Silvermoon City (4).

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
