TheWoWDBThey have a dozen fraps of this NPC's pathetic escape attempts during this quest which are shown to new trainees in the Cenarion Academy for Druids in Moonglade as a warning:
- You have easy escape abilities by shapeshifting into travel form or cat form (abilities every other druid on the planet has by that level). Not walking slowly through the valley of warlocks aggroing everybody with moonfire and daring them to test your leather armor's defense bonus.
- You are children of the wild, masters of nature, but please learn to read a goddamn map to figure out that the quickest way out of that place is wading across the nearby river in 20 seconds.
- You can kill mobs at a distance with spells. You can (easily) kill mobs up close in bear or cat form. But moonfiring a mob to annoy him (and all his nearby mates) and running up to it to beat on them with your fists in caster form is really, really stupid.
- Walking away to moonfire aggro more mobs while your protector is still in combat at low health doing his damndest to save you is not really a good way to endear people to the Cenarion faction.

As has been stated before, she's perhaps the dumbest Druid around. Most likely they don't want her back.
A half idiot NPC would probably just swim across the river to freedom in one third the time, but no we are dealing with a full blown complete idiot here that probably should not be rescued to breed more idiots in the future. If there was an option to set fire to the cage, I would be next to it, handing out oil and tinderboxes. Someday Blizzard will program its escapee NPC with a real desire to escape instead of the current Kamikaze routine. But then we all know how much the player feedback shows we simply love escort quests.

Thank goodness for you! {class}, I need you to help me escape. I have information vital to the security of Stonebreaker Hold and probably all of Outland! I came here from the Cenarion Expedition on a diplomatic mission, but as you can see, they weren't very friendly. If you help me get to safety, I can assure you that you will be handsomely rewarded!
