Falcon Versus Hawk

A good way to do this is to run around the field spamming this macro.

/tar [nodead] Fjord Hawk
/use Trained Rock Falcon
/cleartarget

It will auto target the hawks flying above and cast if you are in range.

Be sure to add the new bird cage the NPC gives you each step of the quest to your hot bar. The previous cages will not work for the subsequent stages.

In the surrounding area are many hawks that you can target and use the falcon on. Each attack will cost you one grub, that you can find under the rocks. The hawks seem to travel in two's, when you capture one, you aggro another. However, even after the cooldown expires, you may not summon the falcon again if you are in combat. It's best to just run away so you can still capture the hawk later. Also, if there's another person on the quest, in your party or not, they can stay out of combat and capture the second hawk.

You can find the hawks flying around or resting on rocks and other objects. Have your falcon quest item ready and you can capture even the quickly flying hawks.
