This drought is... so much larger than I imagined.
Why did nobody tell us?
The burden of this knowledge weighs heavy... do we bear souls to their eternal torture?
We must return home.

Why did nobody tell us?
Yeah, why did our character not tell her that?
Kleia says: Why do we continue to ferry souls when we know they are being sent straight to the Maw?
Polemarch Adrestes says: It is not our duty to ensure that souls are reaching their proper realms. It is our duty to bear them through the veil.
Polemarch Adrestes says: The Archon, along with the rest of the Eternal Ones, is working to solve the problem. We must support her by fulfilling our duty, no matter what.
Kleia says: ...I understand. Thank you, Polemarch.Yeah, whatever sympathy I used to have for kyrian is gone now. These hypocritical mindless drones. Who cares that they condemn souls like the one of Ben Howell to great torment and eventual destruction, who cares that they willingly supply the Jailer with all the anima he will ever need to undo the Shadowlands. All that matters is their "sacred charge" is fulfilled. Fanatics.
So Kyrian Ascendants are still bringing souls to Oribos knowing full well that they go to the Maw regardless. Why not just stop doing that last part? It's either VERY sloppy writing or the Kyrian are absolute bastards.

This soul is no longer tethered to his world of Azeroth. Kleia must perform her duty and bear him to Oribos to be judged by the Arbiter. Take this vesper. When you are ready, it will call Ascended to ferry you back across the Veil to Oribos. Go in service.

With success over their trials, our aspirants shall now start the next chapter of their afterlives. They have proven themselves through eons of training and cleansing, and will now earn ascendance. As each aspirant is called, I ask you and Pelagos to please assist by ushering them up.
Trial of Ascension has 15 steps, from Trial of Ascension to The Spires of Ascension.
