Who cares that they condemn souls like the one of Ben Howell to great torment and eventual destruction, who cares that they willingly supply the Jailer with all the anima he will ever need to undo the Shadowlands. All that matters is their "sacred charge" is fulfilled. Fanatics.
So Kyrian Ascendants are still bringing souls to Oribos knowing full well that they go to the Maw regardless. Why not just stop doing that last part? It's either VERY sloppy writing or the Kyrian are absolute bastards.

Description
This drought is... so much larger than I imagined. Why did nobody tell us? The burden of this knowledge weighs heavy... do we bear souls to their eternal torture? We must return home.
