This WQ is situated in The Azure Span and you need to kill the [npc=197862], which has the nasty sting [spell=388745] if you get in melee range.
To avoid getting hit use the harpoon and drag it out of the water and over the ice; but not too close. It will succumb to [spell=388300].
I thought I hated the other Fishing Frenzy quests, this one is so much worse. If you don't keep kiting the crabs, which don't die as soon as they hit the "shore", the dot they put on you will kill you very quickly.
No, it only shows that until you come back to the quest area.
