TheWoWDBPeople aren't taking advantage of these right now, and they should. Fishing holes are like world quests that are unlocked after finishing this quest.
They'll spawn like 30 pools to fish from with higher than average drop chances for Ominous Conches and other rare schools of fish, as well as allowing you to place nets for more passive fish catching.
On my server I've pretty much had all of the pools to myself for the duration of the fish stock.

This quest isn't appearing on my second character to get renown 4 with the Iskaara. Does anyone know how to trigger it?

Description
Hello again! Did you know I'm gonna be the bestest fisherman in the village? I caught a giant piranha once. It tried to eat my face! <Rowie looks around distractedly.> Oh yeah! I have a message for you. Nunvuq, back in Iskaara, wants to tell you about fishing holes.
