For anyone not seeing the bonfire in Hyjal, I had to complete the BFA quest A Fresh Trauma then it showed up.
A word of caution for hordies: the bonfire is right next to the Alliance portal to Stormwind City. Alliance PvP'ers may use it to sneak in and out, waiting for any hordies that are flagged for PvP. And since extinguishing an alliance bonfire does just that, it may be wise to sit out those 5 minutes before going to Nordrassil.
Since this is a neutral bonfire, you have to perform both actions: talk to the flame guardian AND click the bonfire itself. Do not make the mistake (like I did...) of talking to the flame guardian and flying away. Ah well, serves me right for not paying attention, I guess. It just goes to show how easy it is to slip into braindead mode while working on achievements like these.
