Keep Thornfang Hill Clear!

Keep Thornfang Hill Clear! is a quest for level 10-30 in Hellfire Peninsula. It is step 99 of 103 in the Hellfire Peninsula storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Hellfire Peninsula at 15.9, 52.2. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

We've been fighting an ongoing battle to keep the pass through Thornfang Hill to the west clear of ravagers. It would be bad if we were to become completely cut off from the refuge in Zangarmarsh.

We don't want to displace the creatures, but there seems to be little choice as their attacks on travelers through the area have become more aggressive.

Clear some of the ravagers out of there if you can.

This quest is NOT fun at all as a melee class, and especially a fast hitting one as a rogue.
Every time you hit them you get 39 damage from their thorns thing, and.. it may not seem like much, but it adds up.
I had to heal after every mob, but I kept doing it, cos I wanted the rep and the xp.

  • Testing the AntidoteHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

I think there's something we can use in the blood as the base of an antidote. Don't look at me like I've lost my mind! It's a common theme in nature. Often, the cure for something can be derived from the toxin itself. That's just what I aim to do.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Colossal MenaceHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

You see that huge red crystal to the north? It fell from the sky not long ago, causing a massive earthquake. When we came out here to investigate the disturbance, we found all of these colossi wandering about that weren't previously here.
