Learning the Ropes is a Horde-only quest for level 1-90. It rewards money.
Now that you are a pet trainer, it's time to test your skills!
Head out into the forest and pick a fight with a battle pet. Come back to me after you have won and I will continue your training. Good luck!

This is the first quest after learning Pet Battle training from [npc=63596] in Stormwind for Alliance or [npc=63061] in Razor Hill for Horde.
Instead of trying to duel against other players, you can go to surrounding areas from the quest giver and duel creatures out in the world. Just look for the green paw print on your map and right-click to start a duel. Make sure the creature is a similar level, though.
I have been trying to do the quest Learning the ropes. I get to the areas to start a pet battle. I right click on every pet I seen so far with my pet on and off the ground. I tried everything that I can do with my pet so I can do a pet battle. What am I doing wrong or is there something that I need to do that I am missing. It keeps saying failed to create pet battle. What am I missing or what am I doing wrong? Some one please tell me cause I can't figure it out. Yes I feel stupid because of me asking what to do. I know that I am the only one that is having this problem. Never mind I should have never of asked. I am just being stupid and I should spend more than two days trying to figure it out. Sorry that I am stupid and asking a stupid question. It's just that normally I done figure stuff like this out with in five or ten min. So I am getting mad at myself for being so stupid.
Trials can get this quest if they have pet battle training, but can't complete it due to the "failed to create pet battle" error message that appears whenever a trial tries to initiate a pet battle. The same is also true for Darkmoon Pet Battle!.
