Just an fyi, this quest is ridiculously easy. Like this should be the first quest done in all starting zones, it's that easy. This being said... do it. Almost 5k xp, for maybe 1 minute of your time.
Leave mill, go to horse (which you passed on the way in) mount up, go past the mill, find groups of spiders, press 1, find spiders, press 1. I think I was getting 3 or 4 each time.
Lots of spiders in groups around 46,36

You can't mount the horses if you are already mounted. Doing so makes the horse disappear. So dismount first.
Did anyone else find themselves laughing evilly as they did this and making needless BLAAAGHRGHGAHGRHLE sounds at the spiders?
Just me then?
No problem. Arachnophobe's revenge! >:D

What to do
Description
Ah, it's good to be back in Northridge! I've got my mill, my beautiful wife, a bouncing baby boy... I've even put in my hat with the Argent Crusade. We'll be supplying Tirion's forces with lumber. My lumberjacks were being exceptionally productive, too... up until the point when the spiders came. Now they refuse to go any deeper in the woods. Maybe you can help me out. Hop on one of my horses and use it to frighten those spiders. Maybe we can avoid bloodshed and just scare them away.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Reckoning
Your performance was admirable, soldier. You make the Forsaken proud, which is more than I can say for our general, Koltira Deathweaver. I intend to have a word with that death knight. He has shamed himself and his cause.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- This Means WAR (Wild Arachnid Roundup)
The Highlord was generous enough to send some of his recruits to protect us here at the mill. With your horsemanship skills, and their martial prowess, we can do away with this spider problem easily.
