You pick up the lasso, which is next to Myrrit's backpack, on the ground.

When you have the lasso, you'll get an extra action key. Target one of the flying bats to capture it.

Once you have the bat, walk to a crystal and click on it. One of the crystals will give you the key.

Now, I was very lucky and got the chest key first try. I assume you'll have to repeat until you break the crystal with the key. Good luck!
