Do this quest with Yulda's Folly and Aberrations as they are all completed in the same area.
The work around for this issue is to ride out of the area on a ground mount, and then back in. So ride out until the area where you would normally turn back into whatever race you are, then back in. (Had the same issue, and this solution worked while talking with a GM)
I went East out of town into the Valley of Ancient Winters and went through the break in the mountains to the south until the zone said "Storm Peaks", then went back and was transformed once I re-entered the valley.
As of 9/14/11, this issue has been hot fixed according to Blizzard:
The Brunnhildar transformation in the Storm Peaks should again be applied correctly to flying characters, and will not cause mounted characters to dismount. The transformation should not affect druids in Flight Form.

Description
Traitors. We Hyldnir have little love for them. The dwellers of Valkyrion have gone unpunished for far too long. While we remained loyal to Thorim, they became the Lich King's lapdogs! They call the ones who receive his gift val'kyr. They fly on feathered wings, like the harpies they are. You will find Valkyrion far to the northwest, beyond the Temple of Storms. Slay these winged she-wolves, sister. Slay them and I will reward you with one of my most prized possessions.
