If your niuzao strongarm does not appear you need to log out and log back in. Dropping and reaccepting the quest does not work and once your strongarm has disappeared he doesn't reappear until you've logged back in.
Edit: The strongarm does not attack but he will draw aggro. be careful not to let him die.

You want a fun challenge, do this quest three separate times and only get one type of food each time (IE Bushels, Baskets, etc.).. Hilarity ensures when he's loaded up with six bushels..
Should be an achievement for doing it this way imo..
Remix peeps - this still works for us

Description
Our patron Niuzao is a mountain on wheels... very difficult to move, even more difficult to stop. My point: once we get him moving, the mantid will have their arms full trying to slow him down. The easiest way to get him moving is to put food in front of him. Luckily for us, food in our temple is plentiful... even in wartime. I will send one of my strongarms with you, to shoulder the load.
