Remix pandaria, War within prepatch, 11.0.0.55818.

Rico is again almost one-shotted down. I have leveled 5 horde chars in pandaria remix and this quest was an eezy breezy, but now after war within prepatch, it is once again really difficult due to Rico being paper.

So check all previous comments and tips about using max range, kiting, and avoiding getting hit even once.

I tried doing this 5 times, was not able to finish. Abandoned and moved on. Every time I could not even finish the mob before next one appeared.

For this part of the quest, you should immediately be given special "vehicle" abilities: [spell=80182] and [spell=83012]. (If you do not have a special abilities bar, abandon the quest).

Once you yell "I'll save you, Kiryn!" then run up the path ahead of you to the net. Speak to Kiryn, and it will start the encounter.
Use your #3 ability once the mob gets in melee range to knock them back.
Use your #4 ability as a ranged attack.

The quest text at the end is priceless:
When I was done fightin', I went up to Kiryn to ask for my... reward.
Shademaster Kiryn says: "Riko, you... you saved my life."
Riko says: "So... uh... can Riko get a kiss?"
Kiryn says: "Of course. Let me just take off my mask..."
Riko yells: WHAT THE OOK IS WRONG WITH YOUR FACE? YOU'RE... YOU'RE JEEKIN' DEAD? AHHHHHH!

When you speak to him to turn in, he says "Yeah, I ran away. So blikkin' what? If it weren't for me, Kiryn would be dead. Oh, wait... she's already dead... already... Go away! Riko's head hurts!"

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Scouting Report: On the Right TrackThe Jade Forest · Level 10-35

MOST of what Riko said is true. We didn't dare pursue Gorrok - the Horde's numbers here are far too few. Our forces can only sustain so many losses, and frankly, we don't know how powerful that witch really is. Let me pick up where the hozen left off...

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Scouting Report: Like Jinyu in a BarrelThe Jade Forest · Level 10-35

With our leader turned to jade, our hozen guide disappeared, and a prisoner of war in tow, there was only one thing that Kiryn and I could do: March into our enemy's territory and deliver some vengeance. Want to know how it went?
