In case anyone was wondering, this mob seems to have changed genders as of the world shattering.

The old quest text for HER:
In northern Winterspring, great cats assemble around a large landmark called Frostsaber Rock. The leader of these cats is known by the name Shy-Rotam. Defeating the matriarch of the frostsabers would grant you much respect in the eyes of your fellow <race>.

Go again to the harsh wilds, and once there, gather sacred meat from the frostsabers. Find the stone of Shy-Rotam, and place it there. Placing the meat of her kin before her will summon Shy-Rotam, in anger.

Be ready for her fury, and defeat her.

Attention transmoggers! If you're a high level merely after one of the items above for a mog set (I was after Shy Breastplate, for example), you do NOT have to start at the very beginning of this chain. You can start on Fresh Frostsabers.

I noticed the quest when going after two pieces from quest NPCs near this one, but didn't think it through and ignored this one. I could have saved myself the travel time and the annoyance of going into a barrow-den for the beginning few segments...

Description

Time for the big kill, pal! Shy-Rotam lurks in the north, the largest frostsaber of them all. You should feel honored. There's no fiercer game for a hunter to match their skills against... and if you saw the cash I'm being offered by gourmands that want a piece of this fellow, your eyes would pop out! Once you've got her, head on back to camp. Don't want to totally exhaust our frostsaber population in one day...
