If you are an engineer seeking to learn the tranquil mechanical yeti pattern, this quest series will no longer teach it. Upon completing Yetiphobia, one will no longer get offered the follow "quest" to learn the actual pattern

The quest has been confirmed by the GM as being removed. So, completing the Yeti quest chain will not get you this pattern any longer per Scagarrde, Customer Service Representative

"Hey there!

I sincerely apologize that I was unable to speak with you directly, and for the wait you have had. >.< I hope that you are having a super cool day though!

It appears that the quest has been removed from the game.

Here’s what we need to do to focus on if you would like to see this changed and let the developers hear your ideas. We happen to have couple of venues that you can use to get this done. I’m not sure if you are aware, but have you heard of our Suggestion Feature? I personally like this option the best as it’s very convenient as you can do it while you’re playing, it is automatically forwarded to our developers, and unlike our forums it is just between you and them. To submit this we need to open the help menu in game and select “Submit Suggestion”.

The next venue would be our forum, found on our website at <http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/>. Others will be able to see your posts and openly chat about them. Sometimes this may lead to a more constructive idea, as others would be able to brainstorm along with you about the changes you would like to see! Just choose the forum that relates to what you would like to see changed and post your thoughts and ideas there.

The decision making process and all the changes that happen to the game is done by our developers, sadly not game masters. If you want more information about this new system check this out <<http://us.battle.net/support/en/blog/4684045>>

I hope you have a great rest of the day!"

Wow, they really improved the drop rate of those furs! Compared to a lot of other quests in Cata, a fur every 2-4 may seem like a big deal, but for those who did this back in vanilla, you could easily kill a couple dozen yeti per drop.

Description

My friends are always coming up with great ideas. I've never felt like I could match them... until today! I just drew up the plans for something great! If you promise not to tell, I'll let you in on the secret... I'm going to make a mechanical yeti! Not only are my friends sure to be freaked out when they see it, but when they get over that, I know they'll be impressed! I need thick yeti fur from the Ice Thistle yeti. There's plenty of them in the Ice Thistle Hills to the southeast.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • You Gotta Have EggsWinterspring · Level 15-30

I don't have a very discerning palate, but even I can't stand the taste of those chimaeras that you'll find around here. Their eggs, however, are a different story. Chimaera eggs are the richest, most buttery eggs you'll find this side of Orgrimmar.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Perfect HornsWinterspring · Level 15-30

I can't make a yeti without horns! I've been looking for what seems like forever for the perfect set of horns... and no horn I find is good enough! But just the other day I saw the biggest yeti in Winterspring. I named him Icewhomp. His horns are the ones I've been looking for!
