Spinebreaker Post is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in Hellfire Peninsula. It is step 20 of 103 in the Hellfire Peninsula storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Hellfire Peninsula at 61.1, 81.8. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 1,050 experience and money.

Description

<name>, my equipment here is, unfortunately, not configured for all the tests I'd like to perform. However, my colleague at Spinebreaker Post, Apothecary Albreck, possesses the required implements.

I have acquired a sample of Bleeding Hollow blood -- gained from a past mission of Thrallmar's agents. Take the sample to Albreck and allow him to study it.

To reach Spinebreaker Post, speak with Wing Commander Brack, near the wyverns to the south.

The scene following the completion of this quest is somewhat humorous.

"Please excuse me while I begin my tests..."
"Interesting..."
"But what is this?"
<Bugs start spawning rapidly.>
"Oh, my!"
<Apothecary Albreck starts running around in panic. Also note that some of the bugs may turn aggro and attack you.>
"If my blood hadn't clotted long ago, it would be boiling with rage right now..."

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Apothecary ZelanaHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

    Apethecary Zelana has been studying the beasts of Hellfire Peninsula in the field. She wants a sample of the blood you gathered; with luck, she might discover what turned those Bonechewer freaks' skins red! Zelana is at Reaver's Fall, southeast of Thrallmar.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Boiling BloodHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

    That last experiment was not a complete loss -- I did save a small bit of the blood you brought me. Now boiled down, it should be free of whatever curses the Bleeding Hollow witches placed on their people's blood. I need more for study. Go gather Bleeding Hollow blood from the orcs in Zeth'Gor.
