Spirit Calling

Spirit Calling is a Horde-only quest for level 20-30 in Blade's Edge Mountains. It is step 32 of 95 in the Blade's Edge Mountains storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Blade's Edge Mountains at 74.9, 60.5. It rewards 5 reward items, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

The spirits of the nether drakes in the Singing Ridge are in need of liberation.

The nether drakes were not always nether drakes. They used to be black drakes.

But then, with the destruction of this world, a wave of nether energy washed over everything and had the side-effect of changing the drakeling eggs.

Now they are all twisted versions of their former selves. We must help them to find peace.

Do this by slaying a drake near to the spirit calling totem, and then take its spirit from it.

Please note for the final time that this quest *can* be done by players who have done the quest chain that makes toons Neutral with the Netherwing faction.

Simply go to your Reputation tab and left-click the Netherwing tab. Select "At War."

You will incur NO Reputation penalties for either selecting At War or attacking the Drakes. After you are done, just un-select the option and you are finished--both with the quest and the worries.

Good luck with Loremaster, everyone.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Totems of My EnemyBlade's Edge Mountains · Level 20-30

There is the right way to honor one's ancestors, and there is the wrong way. The Bladespire ogres carry totems with them, but they do not use them to show their respect. Instead, they seek to use them to manipulate and control. We should steal their totems because they are unworthy!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Gather the OrbsBlade's Edge Mountains · Level 20-30

The Razaani ethereals have strange devices that emit small, pink floating light orbs. They remind me of souls. They are not to be confused with the large yellow balls that break free of the ethereal when they die, these are something else entirely.
