Description

The dark energy that flows through the bodies of reanimated skeletons tends to accumulate primarily in their spine. I've discovered a method of instilling this energy into a potion that boosts our magical abilities against the undead.

Bring me some spinal dust and I'll be glad to provide you with a sample. You'll find an ample number of skeletons wandering the Dead Scar, west of here.

This has such a bad drop rate

The quest marker always sends me to the north end of the scar. Ignore that marker and go south! The mobs are right and the drop rate is much higher. Less frustration guaranteed.

Actually it is not that bad, out of about 24 kills I got 16 spinal dusts. I reccomend you kill the mobs right outside of Deathlome, excluding the "Eye of Dar'khan". Also while grinding out on these mobs be careful of Luzran who every 8 minutes or so (don't have exact timing) comes, a level 21 elite. Find more here: http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=16245 This is a very good quest to increase your reputation to exalted with Tranquillien by just grinding without doing any quests. Also I reccomend doing it with: http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9216 They are both repeatable quests and

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

Rotting HeartsGhostlands · Level 1-30
I hear the Amani trolls eat their enemies' hearts to steal their strength. They might just be on to something, <name>. With the proper treatment, the hearts of the unliving can produce potent elixirs. Hunt down the zombies that roam the Dead Scar and bring me their hearts.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

Investigate An'darothGhostlands · Level 1-30
<class>, we are having difficulty with a group of night elves that have recently taken over a nearby island. They've set up a small camp at the old high elf ley-line nexus, An'daroth, to the northwest. There is a dirt path that leads up to it just past the Dead Scar.
