TheWoWDBIt is currently bugged and does not spawn enough boulders to grab. At least for me and two other was. Edit 6/14/23: If you change your realm It might get fixed. The issue seems to be realm specific.

If the climbing gear goes away before you get to the first foothold, it's because you have a transformation on. Clicking off the buff(Coin of Many Faces for me) allows you to reach the first foothold.
