to hand this quest in use the portal in the center of dalaran, go down the steps in the portrait room and place the item on one of the stands which will have a "?" that isn't shown on the world map
Does anyone else miss the "checked" Aegis of Aggramar in the "Pillars of Creation" achievement, besides finishing the quest? I can also clearly see it in the "Portrait Room" and remember that I placed it there.

Description
Now that it's out of the hands of the Legion, the Aegis should be brought back to Dalaran for safekeeping while the hunt continues for the rest of the Pillars of Creation. It should be safe in the central portal chamber until the time comes when it is needed.
