Light's Charge

Light's Charge is a quest for level 10-45. It is step 7 of 20 in the Origins storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Eastern Plaguelands at 76.9, 50.0. It rewards 6,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

"You did not ask for this burden, but it is what fate has deemed." Turalyon's haunting last words still echo in my mind. I worry about the fate of the draenei... about the fate of my friend, Velen; but we must remain vigilant, <name>!

For now, Light's Heart remains under your watchful eye. There is one place on Azeroth that I would trust with the safekeeping of the object: your order hall. Take it there, <name>. I will remain in Dalaran and continue looking for answers. There must be another way!

"Take the Light's Heart to your order hall, Deathlord."

Yeah, that's a great idea! Let's take the Light's Heart, holiest of the holy, to sit in the order hall that houses all of the Death Knights. Dang it, Khadgar! We're going to get holy radiation poisoning! Why do you do this?

If you are a warlock, one of your demons has something to say about so holy an artifact being kept in your class hall.

Dreadscar Archivist says: Is this a prank? Am I being pranked? Very funny, mistress!
Dreadscar Archivist says: This isn't a joke? B... But this is the heart of evil and darkness in the universe! Surely, you can't be serious!

Khadgar, my order hall is literally a sewer right under your feet filled with thieves, pickpockets, pirates, criminals and other untrustworthy scum of the underworld. Additionally, right next door to our part of the sewers, we have the Underbelly which is run by easily bribeable and corrupt guards who let hundred's of people murder each other for currency in order to buy items of value. This is literally the most untrustworthy order hall you could request to place Light's Heart in.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Nobundo's Last StandThe Exodar · Level 10-45

The Exodar shook from the force of the Legion's arrival. Before we could react, demons were running rampant through the halls, slaughtering everything in their path. If it were not for the Prophet, we would have all perished in the initial assault.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Goddess Watch Over YouLevel 10-45

I may have found a "key" to unlock Light's Heart, <name>. I was going through some ancient cosmology tomes when I stumbled upon a passage indicating that the prime naaru may have been created by Elune during the great ordering of Light and Shadow.
