The Egg used to summon the Avatar remains in your inventory upon completing the quest. Inventory space being at a premium, I destroyed mine assuming Lord Itharius would provide another Egg if I spoke to him. Unfortunately he doesn't (oh dear...) so I suggest you keep yours.

Luckily, I still have my Yeh'kinya's Scroll.

It is a bit disappointing that they just reused the quest text instead of just modify it to keep it up to date.

He also talks about when you return the quest on how he is afraid t hat they will re-summon Hakkar at Zul'Gurub, when to this date Hakkar is dead and Zul'Gurub is in ruins.

And I know there used to be a Zul'Gurub but since this is the Cataclysm and all quests are reflecting that it wouldn't be SO hard to just slightly change the quest text a bit.
