I completed this quest within the time given for it (5 minutes) and when i returned, the quest giver and the guards nearby were gone, so i failed the quest. If this happens, run down the slope to the point when the sky turns purple and run back up. Theyll be there. Also, as a hunter, you can't have your pet out or the control panel will not work.

This quest confused me a bit at first until I got the hang of it.
The controls are three little boxes just down the hill from the quest giver. Click on one and you will become the machine.
One time the control bar never showed up for me - the other time it did. Don't know if this is a known issue or not.
Walk down the stairs/ramp and there will be more infernals to kill. Right click on the buff to get back to the control box and then go up the hill to turn in quest.
Fun? This has got to be one of the most irritating quests I have come across so far. It makes me wonder who tested this crap. First of all, as others have mentioned, clicking on the control consoles didn't always work. I was only able to use the one on the right.
Second, I had a great deal of difficulty against the 70 elite mobs who were wacking the crap out of the reaver while the weapons I had did very little against them. This was worsened by the irritatingly slow cool-down times of the stuff I had to work with.
Third, I started to run out of little guys to kill! The big mobs, that I couldn't kill, followed me around wacking the crap out of me while I tried to find more of the little guys I was supposed to be after.
The questgiver tells you that you have 5 minutes to kill 60 of the mobs before your reaver dies. This is not true. If it dies, you can get another one and continue with the quest, but the little controller that shows you how much time you have left resets to 5 minutes, but you no longer have five minutes, you are still operating with the original amount of time, which you can no longer see. If you complete the quest, you must jump out of the reaver to turn it in. It took me over 10 times to complete this quest. Wrote a ticket.

What to do
Description
<Plexi leafs through the manual.> Well, this has everything we need, but there's just one problem. Fel Reavers aren't really built to respond to remote control. We can modify one for you to use for a short time, but you'll have to work fast, or there's no telling what might happen! I wouldn't be surprised if your little stunt with the fel reaver catches the attention of the Legion's lackeys, either. Keep an eye out, and whatever you do, don't forget to destroy as much as you can!
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Art of Fel Reaver Maintenance
The best way to destroy the rest of the Legion's supplies is to use their own weapons against them. I've been working on a rig that will let you take control of one of those Fel Reaver Sentinels below. There are a couple things I need to work out, yet.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- News of Victory
You must bring word of our success to Kurdran Wildhammer immediately! His men, under Wing Commander Nuainn, have fought nonstop to keep Wildhammer Stronghold safe and your return will surely bolster their spirits.
