Gaining Access (Horde)

Gaining Access is a Horde-only quest for level 25-30 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 40 of 147 in the Shadowmoon Valley storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 30.4, 32.4. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

According to Razuun's orders, the massive infernal staging area is called Invasion Point: Cataclysm and it's located in the mountains behind our village! The only way to reach it is by using a teleporter at Legion Hold.

Certain Legion minions carry a device allowing them to use the teleporter. You must capture one of these devices to win access to the teleporter. Slaughter all of the demons if you must, but you can't afford to return empty-handed. Do not delay; the enemy is perilously close.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Bring Down the Warbringer!Shadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

We've made a lot of progress against the Shadow Council here at the Deathforge, but now it's time to finish the job. I found a key among the items in Kagrosh's pack. At least he accomplished something before they got to him.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Invasion Point: CataclysmShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

Now that we have access to the Legion's base at Invasion Point: Cataclysm, we need to figure out a way to shut down their operations there. Shadowmoon Village won't be safe until the Legion's presence is erased from the valley.
