He won't listen to me. He probably won't listen to you, either.

Our ancestor, Kauriq the Gleamfisher, though, is the center of his fixation. She may be able to.

"She may be able to"... what? What may she be able to do? It doesn't say. Based on context, I'd presume it should say something like "She may be able to change his mind", or something akin to that. But it doesn't -- it just ends there.

I submit a lot of typo, grammatical, and punctuation corrections to the Megathreads of each expansion. I love this game, and I really want it to be as polished as possible, because a perfectly polished product (aha, awesome alliteration!) is better (more professional and enjoyable, and generally more valuable) than its unpolished version.

But this isn't a typo or a grammatical error. This is just... bizarre. The thought just abruptly ends. I haven't encountered this in WoW before. I know there are A LOT of texts that go into this game, from quests to NPC dialogue to items... but I don't know how an error like this gets past the quality controls in place. It really sounds like whoever wrote this quest wrote it in a rush, off the top of their head... and nobody reviewed it afterwards -- not the person who wrote it, nor any of the editors that I hope Blizzard uses.

A week ago, I found an entire questline of 4-5 quests that was riddled with typos, grammatical errors, and punctuation errors. It seemed like whoever wrote that questline (and it certainly seemed like the same individual) may not have spoken English as their first language. That's fine, but they need to have their content reviewed and edited before publishing, else the product looks extremely unpolished.

It's disappointing, to say the least. But I love this game, so I will continue sending typo reports... though they should really be hiring capable editors to do this prior to releasing new content. This is one of the [many] reasons for the "small indie company" jokes/memes.

Sorry for the rant.

Description

I am sorry you have been dragged into this, traveler. My brother tends to get... carried away. This is only the latest of his follies. But this one might get him killed. He won't listen to me. He probably won't listen to you, either. Our ancestor, Kauriq the Gleamfisher, though, is the center of his fixation. She may be able to. Please catch some Gleamfish and bring them here. I shall use them to help us commune with her spirit, which lingers in this stone.
