The Sweetest Tribute

I got the quest, got the fruit, but there was no tray at the statue. I did /reload. Still no tray. I exited the game and came back, still no tray. I abandoned the quest, and now there is no questgiver, no strongbox, no way for me to get this quest back. I put in a ticket with Blizz, but they're no help. So, since I barely started this covenant, I switched covenants and then switched back, still no questgiver, still no strongbox, still nothing. Still no help from Blizz. Anyone have ideas?

For this first quest in Bastion:

1. 
   
2. Pick up the fruit in the bowl, on the mat to the right of Elios, the Steward
3. 
   
4. Take the stairs to the left of Elios (towards the portal down)
5. 
   
6. Turn left, and there is a statue of a servant next to the stairs
7. 
   
8. Click on the tribute bowl at it's feet**
9. 
   
10. An Appreciative Servant will arrive and give you a key
11. 
    
12. Use it to open the box next to the statue
13. 
    

Hovering over the chest next to the Steward shows what is in the chest and what key it requires, for example the Golden Key mentioned in Kryptaria's comment. Note that [item=179327] are Unique (3) quest items. So best not to open a chest containing 3 if you have already found some.

** Edit: 4/1/2021 Levelled my second character (Kyrian Covenant rather than Nightfae) and though I could take the quest, there is NO tribute bowl to click on, as the posters above found. Raising a ticket.

*** Edit 14/01/2021 Fixed as of 12 January. My Demon Hunter is now able to complete the quest (it may have related to using Fates rather than questline to level).

Just got a reply for my ticket on January 10th, here's what the GM said:

I had a read of your conversation with us so far regarding the quest The Sweetest Tribute being bugged in multiple ways. I can definitely understand your frustration here, I remember doing this one myself, and it really shouldn't take days to complete.

We are aware of both of the issues - the NPC being missing and not being able to place the fruit in the bowl, and we hope to have both hotfixed now, or as soon as the hotfixes can be deployed. Please allow for up to the weekly resets for the hotfixes to take effect - some hotfixes need server restarts to work.

Edit: quest worked for me after resets on January 12th/13th
