The Mnemonic Locus

The Mnemonic Locus is a quest for level 10-52 in Bastion. It is step 4 of 11 in the Chasing a Memory storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Bastion at 57.5, 61.6. It rewards 1 reward item, 3,550 experience and money.

Description

<Mikanikos examines the scroll you retrieved for him.>

Right, right.

Soul mirrors and Locus are tied together. If we restore anima to mirrors, it should repair the Locus back to full functionality. Thankfully, the cores you brought should be sufficient.

All I need to do is enable conduits. Simple!

Well? Go on. You know how to use these, yes?

The pool for the quest is a small flat light blue swirly pool to the right of the NPC Mikanikos when you have your back to the mirrors facing towards the center that looks like something you are not supposed to be standing in. The ability is channeled and you only have to do it once.

If the ability does not come up, try disabling any UI addons like Elv UI.

The quest markers and some quest addons may still indicate that you need to go click on the mirrors for right now but just ignore them. :)

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Prime's DirectiveBastion · Level 10-52

All centurion are made to serve the kyrian. That they now work against ME, the Forgelite PRIME, is an insult to all centurions in Bastion. Look at them! Praetors! Goliaths! All... PURPLE! I hereby give you permission and expressly order you to extract their cores.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • What's In a Memory?Bastion · Level 10-52

It may be possible to extract memories from fragment, but I worry they will not be useful. This is not whole kyrian, but a tiny piece! A weird, broken piece. It cannot even speak! We will apply extractor and see what comes out. Extractor might explode. It might not. For this?
