TheWoWDBI'll keep track of the cinders I see in our 10 man raid here in case Wowhead continues to not differentiate between difficulties and raid sizes :) Thus this post may be updated between Tuesday and Thursday with new numbers each week. Yay stats.
Week 3 our "staff-getter" was unable to show up one day, hence dashes...
Week 5 our "staff-getter" had some drama and decided not to show up. You guessed it....dashes...
Week 7 the numbers became not accurate to the progress values, which are accurate. How odd... It's possible that "staff-getter 1" went into the alt raid on Week 5 whereupon he net 36 cinders (18 + 18) which evens out the values.
Week 8 "Staff-getter 1" was unable to siphon Essences from Alysrazor and Majordomo. Very interesting...
Week 9 Achievements week, last week of maintaining updates to cinder drop counts. I believe we have successfully established the correct values for the ranges :)Heroic kills in bold

A word of warning about race and/or faction changing with this quest active. When you pay Blizzard for that service you also get a complimentary quest log wipe as part of the process.
If you go through with it you will have this quest removed from your log. Every [item=69815] you had collected thus far will still be in your possession, but you must go and re-accept the quest from [npc=53210]. Failure to re-accept the quest means when you're in for a boss you won't have any cinders drop. Sour! So heads up, I'd recommend against big changes like this on the collect parts of this quest.

Description
Tarecgosa is bound to you, {name}, but only temporarily. An aspect's power is required to permanently seal her essence. Malygos's successor will not be chosen until Azeroth's moons next eclipse, and the bond you share will not last until then. Fortunately, there is a way to buy us the time we need. Powerful elements exist that can extend the ritual's effects. Some of these can be found in the Plane of Fire, with which you've become familiar. Obtain them, {class}, and sustain Tarecgosa until the eclipse.
