TheWoWDBIf you abandoned this quest and find you can't pick a new area in the scouting map:
1. Go to Khadgar near the Dalaran flight path. He will give you the quest again. (For some reason his quest exclamation point doesn't show on map)
2. Take the flight to Val'sharah.Then you can go back to class hall and select a new scouting map zone.
Posting this just in case anyone else was flailing about like me wondering why I couldn't pick a new scouting map area.

Unlike the Highmountain intro quest, you need to take Aludane's flight to Val'sharah. Using a flying mount won't auto-complete the quest credit when you go to Lor'lathil.
Thanks! I came here after opening a ticket. Couldn't bear to do Val'Sharah a 10th time. I'm sure we all know why...
