Just ignore the talk about going to Rachet. All 5 times he has been just inside the Crossroads entrance at 50.33 59.40. This is the southern entrance.
Can't find him? Follow the road to the Crossroads, and you'll see him at some point. He wanders along the road with his ogre buddy.
