TheWoWDBTo complete this quest go inside the inn / cave in Meredil where Arcanist Thalyrissa is and craft the leystone pauldrons, you will need to bring a thermal anvil with you. Once you craft them, the quest will update and you can turn it into Arcanist Thalyrissa. You will NOT get any world quest showing you are in the right area.

you can also run over to 30,53 by the demon hunter that trains you in mining to use that anvil to craft them
It's not necessary to craft the Pauldrons in the inn/cave. I crafted them in Dalaran and delivered them to Thalyssra, no problems.
