Where you hear it
This file comes from the chat and voice set added during Battle for Azeroth, when the Battle.net chat system was reworked. It plays for an incoming message in a Battle.net conversation. Unlike the classic whisper blip, it was designed by the modern sound team as a pure message alert, with a softer, rounder tone. The name spells out its role: chat message incoming. At under a second it is one of the shortest files in this collection.
TriggerPlays when an incoming Battle.net conversation message arrives.
