Battle on the High Seas

We just finished this scenario. After dying...oh...about 34 times (on Heroic mode), we finally were able to defeat Admiral Hagman. Here is what helped us:

DON'T GRAB THE RAPIER!

We had a RetPal (myself), a Warlock and a Mage. The Warlock used his pet to taunt Admiral Hagman, during which time I dps'd from melee range (making sure to avoid the bombs) while the mage hit him from afar. We finally pulled Hagman onto the ropes (which seemed to screw with his mind), and we beat him down till he died. Because we didn't have the rapier, we weren't hit hard with his signature move (Vertical Strike), and as long as we stayed out of the bomb circles we hit him no problem.

ETA: If you're trying to go for the bonus, you DO need to grab the rapier because you need to use the 100% damage buff to kill him quicker.

Step 1: Put on your Bloodsail suit.
Step 2: Put on the Bloodsail Admiral title.
Step 3: Yaaarrrrrrrr!

The achievement seems unobtainable now. I ran the scenario on heroic, got the achiev on heroic, but not on normal. It happened to me with another scenario as well.
