Climate Strange: Val

When Val is the active Showdown zone, regularly check its map for active bonus objectives, and when you see one named "Storm Mitigation", travel to the area that is affected by the [spell=1294028] (applies the [spell=1294342] debuff which can stack up to 50 for a 50% slow), and defeat 8 [npc=265829]s to stop the storm and progress on your Climate Strange: Val achievement on Normal or Heroic Climate Strange: Val on Heroic (giving credit for the Normal version as well), they both work for the [item=252195] pet purchase unlock.

There are 3 variants of this bonus objective Storm Mitigation, Storm Mitigation, and Storm Mitigation with the storm affecting different areas, but the zone is so small that you shouldn't have issues spotting them. There seems to be a character-specific daily lockout for each of the 3 bonus objectives, but you can circumvent that (or the waiting time) by using multiple characters.

Complete the bonus objective "Storm Mitigation" five times (this can spawn at multiple points across the zone map). You can speed this up by using alts but it does come back up pretty soon after completion :) I would recommend doing this on Heroic, which credits both difficulty versions of this achievement :)

By finishing this achievement you get Fishstick Keith, steps:

1. Go to Voidstorm
2. Take the Portal to Val (if you need to unlock it, pick up the quest in Silvermoon from Projected Image of Decimus)
3. Search for the quest Storm Mitigation (if quest is not up, wait for it to appear)
4. Do this quest 5 times. (you can speed this up with alts. This also works with 80-90 alts on normal difficulty. Saves you time waiting for the quest to re-appear).

Open your bag (mailbox if your bags are full) and add the pet to your collection, enjoy.
