Found in the chest after a successful Dire Maul Tribute Run. The tribute run is in Dire Maul North, and could be completed in less than an hour with average equipped lvl 60s. Have not been back there since Burning Crusade.

I have been doing tribute runs of DM north for a while now trying to get this to drop (no luck yet). To do a tribute run, you basically have to avoid killing any bosses besides the last one. At level 60 this meant some preparation to avoid the fights, however at level 80 I don't aggro the bosses if I keep my distance while walking past. There are only a couple of tricks to it: Do gain access to DM North, you need to obtain the Cresent Key from DM East You need to open the chest in the courtyard to get Gordok Courtyard Key to enter the next area. You need to open an inner locked door, which requires powerful seaforium charge, a lockpicking rogue, or a blacksmith's skeleton key. Apart from that, you can walk past most enemies and eventually fight the King. To win this fight, you only need to kill the King; keeping Cho'Rush the observer alive will mean more tribute loot. After the king is dead, a little ogre will come a long. Talk to him a couple of times and the tribute will spawn (a lootable chest). I think that you need to do a full tribute run (ie not killing any bosses besides the king) in order for this schematic to have a chance to drop. Even then it is a rare drop (in my case I have run it about 15 times with no drop). It only takes me about 8 minutes per run though.

I just ran a few tribute runs on an 80 mage in order to get this schematic for my 39 priest twink. In order to do a proper tribute run, I leveled engineering enough for powerful seaforium charges. Got the schematic on my second run, but did 4 more since I had made 6 seaforiums and they'd go to waste if I didn't. (And also for extra ogre suits :D) Schematic dropped 3 more times in those 4 runs. Either I'm incredibly lucky with respect to this drop, or the droprate is actually quite high, possibly dependent on A) doing a full tribute run (no boss killing), B) being an engineer, and/or C) opening the inner door with a powerful seaforium charge.

I have been grinding this for months without luck. Any indication that the chance of getting this is better if killing no boss except the king ? The firrst many runs i just killed the first one and the king and getting the chest, but now im using sea´forium too, but dont think it changes the drop chance

after doing DM North a lot of times to do rep with goblins, I decide to farm this schematic. Prepared 20xElemental Seaforium Charges per day, dropped the schematic for me in the second day of farm, in the 48'nd try fot doing tribute run(no boss killed, but King)

To farm this from the Tribute Chest, the Gordok Inner Door is no longer locked so you don't need a Seaforium Charge or a Rogue to pick it. You can run in and go straight for the King and kill him. Careful when you open the door - if you click it twice, it can bug out and remain closed and lock you inside the King's room.

I can't help thinking that this item's average Auction House price is overinflated. Many of the auction prices were recorded before Cataclysm. Since then, Tribute Runs have become much easier to do, no longer requiring you to bring outside reagents or a Rogue/Seaforium to get past all the bosses. The drop rate is still low, but it's an easily farmable chest, taking about 5 minutes to reach, assuming your character is high enough level to reach it without the NPCs becoming a problem.

OMG, I thought I'd farm this schematic so after around 50 runs of Dire Maul killing whatever was in front of me which included all bosses except 2x, I thought I'd actually read the comments to find out if I was doing something wrong, I discovered I shouldn't be killing any bosses other than the king. Three runs later killing absolutely nothing except for the king, I had the schematic in bag so yes, it's still drops if you do it right.

Got this on my third run. Solo at level 60 (Shadowlands) you can just run past everything and nothing aggros onto you. Head straight to the King and kill him. Talk to Mizzle when he shows up and click through the dialogue. A tribute chest will appear with a number of items inside - food, mana potions, some blues and hopefully this schematic! :)
