TheWoWDBThis item can only be looted from the heroic version of the instance and all dungeon quests from the Tavern/Inn now require you to kill the last boss in each instance also.
If you are as geared as you can be and/or don't really want to run heroics, you can also complete the dungeon on normal and still get credit for the boss kill required. You then just extend the heroic lockout and run back in on heroic to collect the item.

I finished this quest but the NPC has despawned, yet the hand-in ? icon is located in the middle of my garrison, near the fire. Strange..
He's got enough blood to stiffen exactly one part of his body at a time. If he's thinking about dragons, it's the sword arm. If he's thinking about his crush, it's... not.

Description
What ho, squire {name}! Since last we spoke, I have heroically approached the gates of Blackrock Spire and nobly intended to end the toothy reign of its dragons. Yet, as I neared the place, my mind drifted to thoughts of my Doloria's fair face, and to my own painfully unsatisfied desires. My sword arm fell limp at my side. I charge THEE then, squire, to go in my stead and search Upper Blackrock Spire. I must know if the dragons still squirm within its corridors.

The history of this imposing fortress is long and complex. Carved into the fiery core of Blackrock Mountain by the Dark Iron clan centuries ago, and eventually taken by the black dragon Nefarian and his brood, the upper reaches of Blackrock Spire are now home to the Ironmarch vanguard.
