Besieged! (Alliance)

Besieged! is an Alliance-only quest for level 25-30 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 9 of 147 in the Shadowmoon Valley storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 39.5, 53.7. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

Don't let your guard down, <race>. We're under constant assault from the Burning Legion.

From their base of Legion Hold to the northwest, the demons rain down a ceaseless stream of infernals. As quickly as we can kill them, the new meteors impact and begin a new wave of attacks.

My men are ragged and exhausted. I don't know how much longer they'll hold out. Please, <name>, lend your help to our defenses. Take your place on the line and halt the advance of the infernals!

If I shot any of the infernals with under 30% hp then I did NOT receive any quest credit. Even if I critted high and 1 hit them from 29% or lower I would still not get credit. As long at the HP said 30% or more when I started shoting them then I would get the credit.

This couldn't be easier (depending on your level - your mileage may vary). Pick the infernal closest to the gate and whack it. Chances are it won't count toward the total as others have described. A new one spawns in about 10 sec, though, so you just camp on the same spot and in five minutes you're done.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Dissension Amongst the Ranks...Shadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

Gnomus was kind enough to put this concoction together for the final strike. I merely pour it upon this tabard that you have provided for me and the item is imbued with the essence of the Illidari filth. Take the enchanted tabard and travel to the Eclipsion Fields, southwest of Eclipse Point.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • To Legion HoldShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

The fortress of Legion Hold is nigh impregnable, and to be completely honest, I can't spare the forces for an assault. Our hopes are riding on you, <name>. What little information we've been able to gather indicates that the Legion stocks and prepares its infernals at the hold.
