If you have a flying mount and are level 70 you can do this quest without killing anything. Just land at exactly 22, 39 (just NE of the glyph) and use the bomb and then take back off. Make sure the Elite is not too close. The demon and the orc do not aggro if you're in the correct position.

What to do

StorylineShadowmoon Valley, step 34 of 147

Description

The device we've assembled won't win any beauty contests, but it should be capable of destroying the infernals amassed at Legion Hold. Judging from what the fel reaver power core's energy did to the Fetid Pool, it holds a respectable amount of explosive power. If you set the device off in the middle of the green glyph at the hold, it should be in range to hit all of the infernals.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Setting Up the BombShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

We can't allow the Legion to trample us on their march to Black Temple. Find a way to destroy the infernals they intend to use against us. That's not a request, <name>; it's an order.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The DeathforgeShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

While you were taking care of the infernals at Legion Hold, I've been going over your reports. We've got no reason to believe the Legion lied about what's going on at the Deathforge. They're really cranking out infernals down there, so I've dispatched a scouting party to keep watch over it.
