Tired of people not being able to figure this out.
Players are worth 2% completion. NPCs are worth 10% completion. If you see someone grinding out NPCs, that means they're the only one in there and going to get it done quickly. IF YOU JUMP IN, THE NPCS STOP SPAWNING, AND YOU SPEND 15 - 20 MINUTES TRYING TO GRIND THIS OUT ON PLAYER KILLS. DON'T JUMP IN!
Just wait, let them leave, THEN jump in. You kill your NPCs (WHICH ARE INSTA-SPAWN) and finish in, what? 40 seconds?
So to recap for the slow people who insist on jumping in because "it's a PvP quest 'tard, yur suppos' to kill each uthr": you wanna spend less than 1 minute on a quest and move on? Or, do you wanna spend 20 minutes slowly grinding out 50 player kills?
For the really slow people: KILL COMPUTER PEOPLE ONLY, GET DONE FASTUR.

2% Credit for being in the arena when someone dies
10% Credit if you get the killing blow!
If you're one of the many people like myself that hates the grind of this quest, there is a way to make it a lot faster.
If Black Rook Rumble is active, look in the premades to find a group for it, or install a handy little addon called World Quest Group Finder. People filter in and out of those groups constantly when they complete their quest, so join one even if it's full of five people. You'll get invited as soon as one leaves, usually. If using World Quest Group Finder, it will usually try to pair you up with other people using the addon as well, so that you can quickly get into a group.
The reason why a group version of this speeds it up is because you get credit for your own death when in a party. Not only do you get credit when you kill others, including each other, but you get it when you die, too. Normally, this isn't the case when not in a party. This sped up the completion time of this quest for me by about twenty minutes. I was done within probably five or six minutes of first entering the arena with my party.
This basically cheeses the quest and makes it far less painful to do-- and maybe even a little more fun, too. At least you can laugh at your own death rather than scream at it.
Otherwise, when not in a party, this is by far the worst of the free-for-all missions, due to the gear balancing, the class balancing, and the number of people ganging up at once. Save yourself a headache and group up-- even if you're totally anti-social like me.
