Blackhand's Secret

Blackhand's Secret is a legendary quest for level 40. It rewards 1,350 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

<name>, you've given me a lot to think about. There's a section of the Flamebender's Tome that speaks about a "sacrifice," and a more recent notation referring to "the chieftain." I think it's talking about Warlord Blackhand.

Did Blackhand sacrifice someone? Himself? A piece of himself? Is that why his hand is deformed?

Before I risk channeling these elements into a spell, I need to know. And there's only one way to find out.

Kill Warlord Blackhand. And bring me his severed arm.

Leaving this here as I had to learn it the "hard" way: you can only loot [item=115523] as long as you are eligible for loot. So if you already killed him in LFR before getting the quest, you will not get the questitem in this ID again.

If you're trying this in LFR, you want the Blackhand's Crucible queue, kinda obviously.

<Khadgar utters a few incantations from the Flamebinder's Tome. The severed hand slowly clenches into a fist.>

Hmmmm. Yes. <name>, I'll be perfectly honest with you: This thing is extremely creepy.
Ahh, good old Khadgar. Never change, Khadgar. Because you're undeniably the most awesome mage to ever grace the surface of Azeroth and/or Draenor.

Before this quest

Taken from the quest's prerequisites.

Heart of the FuryLevel 40
It is foolish to pursue Gul'dan with magical means alone. But thanks to you we have a prisoner: Garona. If we can break Gul'dan's mind-control over her, we will learn all his secrets. I can do it, but I'll need some powerful spell components. First on the list is the heart of an elemental fury.
Flamebender's TomeLevel 40
The Iron Horde, and the Burning Blade clan in particular, have forged a unique relationship with Draenor's ancient elementals. They can work with iron and flame in ways that even I don't fully understand. Yet. <name>, slay the Burning Blade's highest-ranking artisan: Flamebender Ka'graz.
