It seems this quest may be bugged. My husband is on his warrior right now and is completely unable to attack the drake. He can't auto attack it to gain rage, and without rage, cannot use any abilities.

For those poor classes that require White damage to generate the resources to use Yellow damage attacks (Read: Warriors - Blizzard's love of this class strikes again!) this quest is currently an issue. You are "too far away" to attack the mob upon whose back you are standing (!), ranged attacks don't do enough damage to get through the drake's regen and your friendly local guildmates can't help as the drake is zooming around so fast it can't be hit from the ground. There are 2 work-arounds. First is to group with the aforementioned guild-mate while you both do the quest. You may need to have

What to do
Description
The Twilight Drakehunters used vicious implements to drag our circling drakes from the sky. Hooks that buried into their scales and held the Twilight secure while they brought our kin to the ground. We are past the point of peace. Past hope for their redemption. The only mercy we have left to offer the black flight is the oblivion that they so passionately pursue. Use these hooks to slay the Obsidian Pyrewings to the south. They should allow you much maneuverability in the air if used right.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- And the Sky Streaked Red
With Deathwing otherwise occupied, we have a grim and daunting task ahead of us, under charge of the queen herself. The black dragonflight is to be wiped out. I would welcome your aid in this, if it is offered. As soon as you are ready, I will send you with the next flight joining the attack.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Shining Through the Dark
The great petrified tree that lies before us to the south was once a beacon of great life. Our beacon. We lost this forest to the black flight, and it has since been corrupted and petrified. Nearly unredeemable. But all is not without hope. I've brought a powerful tool to begin the healing process.
