Just a heads up to all classes using a pet. Be sure not to send in your pet on the crystals before attacking them yourself. The crystals just need one hit to be destroyed and if your pet gets that hit you won't get any credit for it.

Edit: Also, the crystals seem to be on a 2 or 3 min respawn timer so if the place is crowded with other players you are probably better off waiting for the same crystal to pop 3 times than to run around looking for spawned ones.

It's extremely disappointing to have to make this comment but do be watchful of your surroundings if you're attempting this quest.

From my own personal experience, there are people who will gleefully jump in and shoot/attack/AoE for the very moment that you lower the shield around the crystal.

Description

Look at the button on the side of the controller here. I bet if you got close enough to one of those scourging crystals, you could use the controller to bring its shield down. Then it would simply be a matter of destroying the thing before its shield goes back up. What do you say, {name}? You up for it? I can guarantee a nice reward for you if you can bring down those shields and destroy the crystals. It's the least we can do to keep the Scourge from making more of their own kind.
