The color variations are as follows, for reference in color choice.

Blue Serpent Egg will look like Hyacinth and rewards you with Reins of the Azure Cloud Serpent
Green Serpent Egg will look like Li Ying and rewards you with Reins of the Jade Cloud Serpent
Yellow Serpent Egg will look like Sun and rewards you with Reins of the Golden Cloud Serpent

After you have completed the chain, earned Exalted and obtained your Serpent, you will be able to purchase the other 2 colors from San Redscale for 2100g/ea(Exalted Price)

You may also save yourself some gold if you have other level 90 alts and would rather do this questline (and reach Exalted with them) for each different color.
