Beating the Odds

Beating the Odds is a quest for level 10-35 in The Jade Forest. It is step 3 of 17 in the Order of the Cloud Serpent storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Jade Forest at 65.3, 31.7. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,800 experience and money.

Description

At first, the Slitherscale were too frightened to approach the wild serpents.

Then, I caught them snatching the eggs under the cover of night.

Now, they are slaughtering adults and hatchlings alike!

If we do not do something, these gentle creatures will be completely wiped out. Then there won't even be an Order of the Cloud Serpent to join!

Go and slay these vile Slitherscales, and then we will talk.

sometimes i get credit for killing these dudes, and sometimes i don't, even tho no one else has tagged them first. i think you need to do more damage than any npc's (serpents) who may be pounding on them...
they are WAY too hard to kill, i am the same level as these dudes, they should go down a LOT faster than they are

Trecman I love voting down trolls. I had not come across this quest yet. but i had decided that i wanted a wind serpent. Phatboi's post helped me to figure out why i was unable to get anything from instructor Tong. Way to fail Trec. Thanks for the help Phatboi
